Hi does anyone know what convertables Alamo are providing out of LAX?
We've just booked one through car hire 3000 and it says PT Cruiser convertable...or similar, when I enquired with car hire 3000 they said there's loads to choose from (how helpful). If anyone knows let me know!
Thanks in advance.

I would call the LAX office and ask them0

You have to go for a Mustang convertible surely ??
The Sebring is regarded as a full four seater convertible whereas some companies class the Mustang as a two seater (even though it has two back seats although they're not large).0 -
It has to be a Mustang convertible in Vegas surely ??
But its in LAX
Agreed though I love the Mustang
I would call or email the office in LAX, there is no way Carhire3000 would know as they are only a broker.
When have you booked for, if it is to far ahead they wont know anyway
If you call (best bet) dont forget to look on the international callchecker and it wont cost you more than 1p a minute0 -
American hire companies are huge on the convertable Sebring - Personally i think its nasty.
But I see loads of Brits flying round in them like they are pimps. The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -
Alamo's website says Chrysler Sebring or similar as their convertible. Agree that Sebring's are very common with US car hire firms. We've never had a convertible, but have had standard Sebring's about a zillion times - they are nice enough we think.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

I've driven both the PT Cruiser and Sebring convertibles, the Sebring is a bigger more comfortable car.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

I got offered the choice of a Mustang or a Sebring at LAX.
My response...
"Meh! Do I look like I'm 102!"0 -

To be fair if that is your woman in the background you'd have looked just as good in a Sebring!
*Edit*
Just managed to stop looking at her legs, damn good looking too!The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -
I've had a Mustang and a Sebring.
The Sebring drove better (it was 2006. So not the latest model).
Be warned. You can only fit 1 case in the boot (as it's full of roof). Our second had to go on the back seat!
Saying that. It was cool. Drove from San Fran (down Pacific Coast Highway) to LA and then on to Vegas. Had to put the top back up 1/2 way between LA and Vegas. It was just too damn hot!!0 -
The Mustang boot took all our luggage, although we took soft bags to make sure.
We kept the roof down pretty much the whole time, even in the near 50°C heat in Death Valley...
