4 and a half! That's really shocking. Sounds like something my Mom would do.

I know, it was embarrassing. DD could walk, but got into the CBA habit because MIL kept wheeling her around in it.

A few gobsmacked faces that day :o

My youngest son's buggy was stored away in the shed luckily because when he was 4 and a half he broke his toe (in a fight with his older brother) and, not having a car myself, I had no choice but to push him around in his buggy when I had to go out. That was, until the wheel fell off 500 yards into a two mile round trip to get his brother from school - have you ever tried pushing one of those things with a 4 and a half year old in it and just three wheels???? :rotfl:

i'm not being naive i did think it would be around £30, and i understand that because i got a bargain things will not be in proportion, i'm not a total dummy, but all in all over £40 seems a tad unrealistic.
i dont think mamas and papas are an expensive brand, bit i think that the prices are made so high so when if you want a spare part they can guarantee a huge profit, as in they know they will sell loads of replacement raincovers so deliberately hike the price up.
i was going to buy a generic one, but once i have looked at the style of the stroller i'm not sure that will be possible as the hood goes quite high and is quite long.
let he without sin cast the first stone
  • Have you tried ebay op? Sometimes people sell mamas and papas raincovers on there seperatly or there might be a nursery shop seller who sells them a little cheaper than from mamas and papas direct?

    HTH:)
    Nothing to report:p
