Madasafish Broadband-BT exchange full

Hi there
I love this website - this is my first post!
I took advice from the site to sign up for broadband with madasafish and did so on 10th August. However I still haven't got it yet, as I've been told by them that BT say my local exchange is full and I won't be able to get my broadband until after the 25th September, which is the date BT have given them for room to become available at the exchange.
Madasafish have kept me updated with what's been happening but seem to be at the mercy of BT, waiting for space to become free at the local exchange. They've told me that there's no advantage cancelling now and going to another provider because I'd be at the 'bottom of the queue' for space at the exchange, as it's the same for all ISPs.
I decided against BT broadband because I was unhappy with their customer service but they told me they'd be able to get broadband by the end of August at least! Maybe I should have stuck with them after all!
Is this normal to have these problems with ISPs - madasafish or otherwise?

What you've been told by MAAF is pretty much spot on. The problem is with your local BT exchange, not MAAF, or any other ISP.
All you can do is wait till the 25th, or ditch your BT line and get cable if it is in your area. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

yes, some of the new providers put their own equipment in BT's exchanges, which often involves BT moving their own equipment to make space (and having to find space to move their equipment to ) as they must have their own secure area....
or it could be just that thhey need additional BT kit on site but the above still appplies if there is no spaceEx forum ambassador

Welcome.
Sounds like it is an exchange capacity issue. Enter your exchange here to find out more info. Try the availabilty checker also.
