Is the car at the VW garage?

For an old car like this I'd be asking my local independent garage to do the work and I'd expect them to source the part for rather less than the main dealer.

Might not be exactly the right pump so you'd have to contact them or search the site again using your car reg.

i left the car in the vw garage for fault diagnostic. they called me to tell me you have a problem with teh distributor diesel pump which cost £1500 but of course i wont pay that amount because i bought it with that price.
i want to know how cheap i can buy this part ?

In some newer cars, the Diesel pump is tied in to the cars ECU and can cost so much to replace that the car becomes a write-off.

I work at a VW Dealer, and have never heard of a distributor diesel pump???

The fuel pump in the tank is only £78 so I am guessing there's two problems, or you've missed the decimal point and it's only £150???
