    Sorry, being a bit thick.

    I haven't had any letter as yet, does this mean that the 2150 points I currently have is going to be 1075 as from August??????

    Thats completely unfair if it is.:mad:

    No - you'll still have 2150 points, but instead of the 1750 (or so) points you needed for a £10 voucher, you'll need 3500 points.

    I rang and complained. Didn't do any good, but made me feel ever so slightly better. Then cashed my points and have switched my spending onto another card.

    Just got my Argos vouchers today with another letter. It says ' Summer Giveaway ' 1000 bonus points you will only qualify if your account is open on 1st August 2010. WoW !!!!. they must be worried about losing Goldfish customers now. :)
  • I never received a letter about this and saw nothing on the Barclaycard website either; in fact the whole Rewards section of the site has vanished! (although not surprised considering it's previous record).
  • Try MBNA Platinum Plus Rewards Visa card. I've just received mine, to coincide with the demise of the Goldfish Rewards scheme.

    thanks for sharing all your experiences; I am one of the original (Billy Connolly ad) Goldfish Card holders & pretty unhappy:

    - the 'Reward' rate is now 0.28%
    - the Points I'd earned before Aug 1st are worth half as much
    - there were no Rewards to redeem lower amounts of points against
    - Service from Barclaycard has been shocking - 2 hrs of phone calls to India, Redemption, Customer Services
    - others seem to have been 'given' 1000 bonus points, £15 'compensation'
    - if your accounts has a zero balance (paid off) & you dont use the card for 6 MONTHS - ALL POINTS WILL BE REMOVED !!

    I am now being told by Ryan Jackson, Team Leader in Barclaycard Customer Service that

    - they did not advertise the 1,000 bonus points
    - they only gave the bonus to people who called to redeem - between end of May & July 15th ONLY

    What about those who redeem online ??
    Why not to everyone ??
    Why not DOUBLE POINTS remaining on Aug 1st ??

    The letter some of us received talks of the £10 voucher increasing to 3,500 points but makes no reference to the £15 voucher or Cinema tickets

    - Ryan states that the £15 voucher is also increasing pro-rata

    Is this breach of their T's & C's as they HAVE NOT NOTIFIED US ??

    Apparently the Cinema Vouchers stay the same (1,250 points I think)

    Martin or anyone with legal training - CAN YOU ADVISE re OUR RIGHTS to all be treated equally, on contractual terms re communication / notice of changes & devaluation of previous earned points ?

    I have escalated my complaint beyond Ryan (the team leader) to Barclaycard management, asked for a response from the guy who signed the letters - Paul McWeeney & subject to their response am considering raising the above issues with the FSA, Watchdog etc

    Will use my Amex card instead as I get 0.5% cashback while looking at other Master / VISA cards

    Any advice or details of your own experiences much appreciated
