They can do a mutual but many of us refuse to do them and do a full NPB instead. A single nPB won't hurt you but get another and you'll find yourself effectively blocked from bidding on auctions as many people block non payers.
i have emailed seller to see if he/she is willing to do this but im guessing aas theres beeen no resopnse they are unwilling , ive got no problem with a NPB case im sure i will get over it !This is a system account and does not represent a real person. What did you buy out of interest?
Was it a keyboard with capital letter function?<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

If it was off a business seller and on a BIN auction then you have 7 days in which you can cancel under the distance selling regulations.
Not a good idea to buy/bid on things you dont want though. She has the loaded handbag of someone who camps out and seldom goes home, or who imagines life must be full of emergencies..0 -

Yes but they can still get a npb strike and deserved in my book if they hit a BIN button and then don't pay as it costs the seller 40p a pop!0 -

They can also pay, get the item, then admit they don't want it and return it for a full refund..thus you losing the outward postage and the 40p listing, they could then even go on to ding you/neg you if 'forced' to do it that way..so its the lesser of the two evils in my book. She has the loaded handbag of someone who camps out and seldom goes home, or who imagines life must be full of emergencies..0 -

Which is just a cost of selling on eBay that you have to anticipate. If you're a business seller then you have to factor those in because you'll get them eventually in the long run. If you don't like it then move to your own website where it won't cost a penny for a [early] change of mind by the buyer.
Yeah nobody likes eBay fees for a no sale but that is the cost of exposing your products to millions of potential buyers.0 -

So are you saying that I should add an extra 40p onto every listing just incase somebody doesn't pay?
See, selective quoting works both ways...<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Why would they accept mutual termination as there's nothing in their favour by doing it? If the item got damaged while it was listed and the seller offered mutual termination then it's in both parties favours.0 -

What?!
I wasn't complaining about the fees I am perfectly able to factor in these costs but thanks for the advice
I don't like buyers who hit BINs then inform you they aren't paying, they are costing me money and deserve a NPB strike otherwise we'll just get buyers going round hitting BINs for the sake of it. At least if they buy something, try it on, return it for a refund as it doesn't fit etc I have had the chance of getting their repeated custom for dealing/processing a hassle free return.
When some numpty 'accidently' hits BIN then the confirm button, they should get a strike thats all i was saying.0
