This is the point, how do i know what tariff iam on how do i know if its right or wrong.????
I can remember the last time the meter was read or a reading requested its been well over 18 months im sure.

Errr, you should be able to find out quite easily what tariff you are on, and how much you have paid on the meter, and your reads etc....try pressing the blue button, it's all there for you to see. It dont matter who supplies the lekky, they all have the same info on them.

As a side note, every time you get monies on your key the machine sends a read up to the main computer, so there is no real reason to send a meter reader. On the flip side 'they' can send any changes to your tariff/debt etc at the same time, so prices will be up to date (provided your not putting £££'s in each visit).

I should think that sending statements out will add to the running costs, and be pretty pointless, unless it's something all suppliers now have to do to conform with some new regulation or other. In which case expect prices to rise to cover the costs.

Scottish Power sent me 'receipt' for the payments I had made when they sent me a final bill.
Maybe you could ask for an itemised receipt of the payments rather than a bill?

When I switched from BG to Scottish Power, I never received a final 'bill' or a receipt. This is causing me a problem because Scottish Power are saying I owe them money, but BG have told me I don't owe SP anything!

I'm sure I saw somewhere that you can request a list of payments you've received. It might just be someone reading them out to you over the phone though...
