LG and 3 Year warranties

Hey all, just wanted to bring everyones attension to something i am having problems with atm.
2 years ago i got a LG monitor from ebuyer. when choosing i looked for a one with on site warranty cos i hate sending stuff away, ive allways had problems with things taking ages to be returned. im used to buying things in shops and if you have a problem its replaced there and then and you arnt left waiting and Not watching as the case may be.
anyway this monitor has a line down its screen dead pixels i think, and is buzzing at the back, so i thought id take up the on site thing and get someone out. I called ebuyer and was informed that because it was older than i year i had to go to LG for the on site warranty. after talking to LG i have now found out that LG hold no stock, all their stock is given to suppliers to sell, and they only get random stock with no set dates. this means that the 3 year warranty is useless, at no point after a year could i have ever expected anything on site. I feel like i have been missold this monitor and left with either having no monitor for upto a month while its away being repaired, where it should have been either fixed or swapped at home or buying a new one.
So beware anyone if you get on site warranties check with the maker of the product and see what they offer and what would happen if you need to make any claims, dont trust people like ebuyer to tell you things cos its all lies.
