Cheap 8ft Canes

Having cleared my allotment and now being ready to plant I visited my local Wilkinson store to get some cheap canes (cheapest place around I was told).., to find none in stock, and their main warehouse doesn't expect to receive any til July.
So.., does anyone know where I can get 8ft canes from without breaking the bank please. I am ready to plant lots of things that need cane support and wanted to make fruit/veg cages too. I don't have any surplus wood I can use.
Many thanks

If you live in North Yorkshire, Proudfoots sell them also seen them in B&Q before0

I've now tried everywhere in reach.., Focus don't do them, neither do most of the smaller DIY/Garden places but I have found a place called Hooties that does a pack of 6 x 8ft for £1.98.., I'll probably be buying them out as I need to build a runner bean support frame.
It does seem like they are in short supply tho.0 -
I finally tracked some down in The Range £2.99 for 6 but buy one get one free so 12.Slimming World at target0

I have found it increasingly hard to find them. I'm thinking about growing my own bamboo because they are elusive, and when found, increasingly expensive.0

I have got loads of bamboo growing in my garden. I often cut, trim and dry it to use the canes for my veg plot ... so if anyone is in the East Berkshire area (outside Reading) and would like some - p.m. me and i'll gladly cut some for you:)
Sorry, i realise this isn't much help to everyone who does not live near me:(0 -

Is it a particular type of bamboo that is needed for canes?

Hazel is a much better medium for bean sticks, the stems have more grip and the diameter is better too. Harvest from woodland November through to March. Don't be greedy and just take up to half a dozen shoots that would otherwise interfere with the health of the bush. Young hazel will give you a good 3 years of beanstick use.
It gives you a good excuse for those winter walks.
