Hiya, this has possibly been posted before, but seeing as there's been so many problems with the tube this month, I thought I'd post this to remind people that you can claim back a bit of money for a delay of 15 minutes or more. Make sure you have your ticket details! Hope this helps someone.

Under the National Conditions of Carriage, a refund must be given if the you arrive at your destination more the 1 hour late*. The minimum compensation is 10% of the ticket price for each leg of a return ticket which was delayed, or 20% of a single ticket.
But that is only the minimum, each operator will have it's own compensation policy which can be found in it's Passengers Charter. This can usually be found in the 'About us' section of the various train companies websites.
*As long as the delay was under the control of the train company. But it's always worth trying if it isn't as it can be successful.0 -
This applies to the tube. I have a sticky label with my name, address, oyster card number and all the other standard info.
I take the metropolitan line from Chesham - so 2 days out of 5 there are claimable delays.
I have earned £££££ from claiming, even if a second over. Have also been know to wait to go thru the oyster swiper an extra minute, just in case they check my bogus claim! (well at 14 min on a dark windy rainy night I am going to claim!) If you want the rainbow, you've gotta put up with the rain :hello:0 -
You can also claim online. So you don't even have to get to the post box.

I am getting annoyed with the met line on a few occassions now Ive arrived for the 8.15 watford going to baker street, and they have cacelled the 8.15 so you have to get on the 8.25.
What grips me even more is that you cant claim becuase its 10 minutes.

Yey! I received £12 in vouchers this morning from London Underground.
Took about 2 weeks, but definately worth it!0 -
The link above only works for the Underground. You cannot claim for a journey on the DLR using that form. To claim on the DLR use this online form instead.0

The vouchers you get from London Underground are valid for 13 months, so you could save up over the year and get a good discount on your annual ticket!0
