I received a letter from Nationwide today stating that they would cancel the transfer of my ISA unless they hear from my other isa provider in 10 working days. I contacted my other isa provider and they had been in correspondence with Nationwide and had actually sent them a cheque on the 25th May 2010 (they gave me the cheque no). Nationwide ISA department are obviously not up to scratch and someone at Head Office should be looking into it. I rang Nationwide today and was transferred to a young gentleman who stated that their staff were so overwhelmed with calls they were taking callers details and calling them back between 12 and 3pm when the official call lines are closed. Waiting to see if I get a call back obviously a lot of distressed people out there.

Just like my post no 10. My husband said we should all notify Watchdog about this. Did you get a call back typistretired (from nurserynurseretired) and loving it!

No call back on Saturday. Kept calling today but gave up after getting message "all our advisors are currently busy" for over 20 minutes. Have sent them a secure email of complaint with all the details.

I received 2 of these letters from Nationwide, the latest dated 30th May after I had first spoken to them and said my provider had confirmed sending it. When I spoke to my original provider they said they'd received the request from Nationwide on 11th May and sent the cheque on 24th May. Nationwide said in their letter they requested funds on 2nd May. I know who I believe. Another phonecall to Natiowide and they say that they received my cheque on 2nd June (the day before I last phoned them and I really doubt it took 7 days to get there anyway) and interest would be backdated until then. It still doesn't show in my account though.

Also waiting on ISA Transfer to Nationwide from First Direct.
Started whole process on 28th April.
FD sent ISA cheque to Nationwide on 27th May.
Still unable to see funds at Nationwide.
Haven't returned my phone call from last Friday either.
Not impressed by Nationwide at all.
Should hire more staff rather than waste members money on naff ads with 2 past their sell by date comedy actors.

Nationwide, along with Abbey/Santander will be one to avoid for my next ISA. My Kent Reliance internal ISA transfer took 2 days to complete. My Nationwide one is so far taking 39 days and counting!

Nationwide have now returned my call from last Friday.
They acknowledged receipt of ISA Transfer cheque on 4th June (sent 27th May).
Nationwide now saying it could be 5 - 10 days before funds hit my new e-ISA account.
Really unacceptable system that needs urgent overhaul.
All ISA providers should be forced to use EFT for ISA transfers.

I can now see my ISA money in my account at NW. Halifax sent me a letter to say a cheque was sent on 28th May, if that's any help for anyone.
    (I didn't chase NW btw)
