LOL the date went well. DD1 and i went off for two hours and then went back to get her. She was good as gold but running round with a sword!! Easily adapts to boys games! :D Her 'boyfriends' mum ask me in for a coffee and we stayed chatting for an hour!!

Funny coincidence....had to ring her phone as couldnt find the house!! She told me to look for a particular van in her drive - one of the work vans from OH's work!!! Her husband works with my OH!! Small world really

At least OH knows whose !!! to kick if our DD is treated badly by her 4 year old boyfriend!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I hate to break into the natter but want to do my day :o

    * Used nectar website to shop at Amazon - cheaper, slightly, than ebay for what I needed but delivery will be slower as I opted for free supersaver delivery rather than pay for first class. Postage was <£4 but better I keep the £4 and wait an extra week.
    * went to coffee shop at work but did not buy any snacks and colleague paid for my drink
    * ate leftover snacky bits for lunch
*filling out magazine crossword to send off competition entry when I complete it.

    Night night everyone :)

determined new mrs - we're dreadful at DIY here! :) What makes this whole bathroom saga more daft is that before I moved in, Mr Daffs had had the shower attached to the wall for about 8 years - but with no cover on, all the wires sticking out, and the electric not attached :) I moved in 2.5 years ago on the understanding that we'd sort out the shower... which we did, but it took about 8 months because we first had to varnish the wall, seal round the bath (!), put tiles round the loo, carpet on the floor, skirting board etc etc - none of which he'd had for, ooh, about 17 years... :)

So now there's carpet on the floor, the skirting board is propped up but not attached, the walls are half covered in pictures from old encyclopedias, which get added to at the rate of about 3 a year, and the bath *was* sealed, but I'd obviously done such a bad job that it's all warped and come off again :)

So you can see why my enthusiasm for doing it again isn't really very apparent! lol! :):)

(but we ain't paying for someone else to come and do it! :))

And he's far worse than me - wouldn't ever get round to it if I didn't wade in and start doing it first, at which point he'll come and offer so much advice that it's just quicker for him to do it himself... ;)
