Pay As You Go International Calls

Hi,

Apologies if this is an all too regular theme, with a new member coming in with an introductory "please help" thread, but I have looked around, and did use the forum search function, and although I'm now much the wiser regarding internation calls from landlines, and VOIP, I've still got a few queries concerning mobiles.

I'm with Vodafone, on a pay as you go deal. I live in the UK (Northern Ireland to be exact), and the country I would be looking to call another mobile in, is Australia. I used the International Call Checker, to see prices for calling mobile phones, and I see a quite a few Simply Call Providers, which are marked in green. I see some at 6p/min, 8p/min, and 9p/min. First question, does the list show prices for landline to mobile, or for mobile to mobile? Second question, does it differ at all depending on if it's a contract deal, or a pay as you go deal? I guess I'm just wondering if it is as simple as dialing the operator from my mobile, and then dialing the number of the mobile I wish to call, and being able to chat for said rate, or if I'm getting it all wrong. :o

Cheers to any, and all who took the time to read. ;)

The prices marked in green refer to the cost when calling mobiles from a BT landline not when calling from a mobile.

If you are calling from Vodafone PAYT then the prices will be much higher so don't use this method!

You would be better to use one of the companies in blue (e.g. 18185) and added onto the quoted price would be your call to an 020 access number which off-peak with stop-the-clock would be OK. At peak times it's not so easy to get a low price. On a contract you could of course get the 020 access number in your inclusive minutes.
