Where I am at Uni there is a £15 per person charge for graduation......we are allowed 3 tickets each. It sure does add up though but hey is a special day.

I'm graduating in a couple of weeks too - Robe hire is £37, basic photos £19, if you want a mortarboard for photos that will cost £40 because you can't hire them as they're not worn in our ceremony. Graduation ceremony tickets are free, but there is a garden party afterwards which is £10 per ticket for guests but the graduates one is free. Then the grad ball is £35 per ticket.

    Expensive stuff!

And if you are having to pay £50 for the privilege of taking 2 guests, then I would seriously consider going to drink lots of champers & eat all the canapes!

That's the thing, OH doesn't drink (religion) and Dad is driving! What a waste of champers! I don't drink for health reasons either so there had better be some lovely soft drinks there!!! :rotfl:
