hmm looks like the mse news team are confused with the meaning of hidden and customer stupidity.

Any bandwagon going and the MSE team are sure to jump on it.

Yep, got to agree, MSE is definitely losing its way. More and more of their 'savings' are looking like they are consumer ads. Perhaps Martin is getting desperate as most of his news is old news or repeated news.

The only decent thing about this website these days is the forum.

Most of these high bills abroad are usually racked up by Wayne and Waynetta sat on a beach in Tenerife after a skinful of cheap imported British lager and texting/calling their mates sat at home in the local Corsa hangout who then come home and realise the high bill they get is because they didn't bother to read the tariffs on the new phone the contracted for, so they then go onto Jeremy Kyle to complain they are being exploited by the phone company because their sister is knocking off their pitbulls pups new owners brothers gay partner and he conned them into getting the phone and didn't tell them it is expensive to ring when on holiday. So because of this the rest of us as someone rightly said end up having to take longer contracts. Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

or its done by kids who either make or receive calls/text to/from they're mates abroad and the parents pay the bill at the end of the month and get a shock on opening of the bill

the charges arent hidden though, they are on the website of the mobile phone firm, i could understand the fuss if the charges werent listed on the website

I'm surprised by so much concerted hostility to another crusade. I agree with all of you; usually when the do-gooders meddle those of us who actually bother to find out what we're doing beforehand end up losing out or paying more to "protect" all the suckers who can't be bothered to find out. Calling to/from abroad was ALWAYS much more expensive from a land-line until recent times so I would always assume using a mobile would cost an arm and a leg - I'd certainly find out before using it abroad. Why do nannies always stuff the rest of us to protect the sheep!?
