milk, remember as a youngster working in a resturant, if the cream ran low just add milk to stretch it between all the jugs for coffee etc.

I agree with the milk. My Mum taught me that and she always did it.
Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

I have a pint of double cream I was going to use for some baked custards, but I'm just wondering if there's anything else I can use it for instead? Ideally I want to use it all up in one thing.

    Inspire me please!

Panna cotta, needs gelatine leaf but easy or fudge for some and a lovely delicious creamy rice pudding? I also like a bit in porridge so I think I'd be using it in several things.

:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Alternatively, whip it up and freeze (whipping helps prevent it separating when defrosted) to use later. I've bought a few tubs of YS cream and just whipped and frozen to use for baking later.
