upgrade to Sky+HD, only want multiroom to be HD - can this be done?

hoping someone might know the answer to my query, before i give in & phone Sky to try & explain (that will be fun!
)
our current set up -
original Sky+ box in living room, CRT tv.
2nd Sky+ box on multiroom in another room, HD tv.
both boxes were from Sky & we've had them a few years now.
we're not planning on replacing the CRT tv anytime soon, so we only want HD in the other room. looking at the Sky website, it would appear any upgrade to HD would be on our main box - i couldn't just upgrade & only have HD where the multiroom box is now.
so, would this be possible:
i upgrade to HD, self install with £10 pack (i object to paying for an extra pack, but there doesn't seem any way around it).
i install it as my main box, get the card matched to the box.
then just physically swap over the HD box with the SKY+ box that is currently the multiroom box.
is that a plan, or is the cabling different on the multiroom box?

I don't know if this is any good to you but you can order a HDsky+ box on the sky website to install yourself. You get the HD box
You can do this as you have a sky+ box and all you do (as I understand it) is use the leads you have going into one of your sky+ boxes. You will have to pay £10 for HD PACK, but only for 12 months. After that you could cancel this and be able to watch the free HD channels, BUT you (if I am correct) won't then be able to use the skyHD+ recording function.Replace your box with a Sky+HD box
Self set-up - your self set-up Sky+HD box will be sent to you by courier.- Sky+HD box Free
- Self set-up Free
- HD Pack £10 pm
One-off cost: £0
Monthly cost: £10
£10 extra a month
I am upgrading to skyHD+ box, but I have an old standard sky box so will have to have installation as the cables for sky+ are different to a standard box.0 -
if you have 2 sky+ boxes and want to upgrade 1 to HD it is upto you which one.
It does not have to be the main it can be the multiroom.
its your choice. When you call sky just give them the last 4 numbers of the multiroom card and that will be the one they will upgrade

)
