Wireless with dial up broadband?

Sorry to be dense but does that mean my Belkin Micradigital 802.11g ADSL Modem with wireless router is of no use and I'll have to purchase another one?

OK, so we have established that you have broadband internet, not dial up.
You already have a wireless ADSL modem/router: this one I think?

So all you need to do is remove your old USB modem and connect your new Micradigital router, everything is the same on the hardware side, except you need to use the supplied ethernet cable from router to laptop, this plugs into the network port (not USB). Then all you need to do is log into the router interface and enter your TT username and passord, follow the instructions supplied for this.
Once you have connected to the internet via ethernet and router, you can then set up the wirleess connection in the router and remove the ethernet cable. No free lunch, and no free laptop

no it'll work fine, you just need to put the relevant settings for your tiscali broadband into it and your specific username/password.
you will not need any disks or software, turn the modem on, plug your laptop into it via an ethernet cable and open internet explorer,
type the following address in to get started 192.168.2.1

I shall give it a go myself tonite - I'll come back if i get stuck!
My son isn't really into routers/networks ect he just tried to follow the instructions and got no where so I think he decided it was the router rather than him -typical teenage boy!
