What are these DDs?

Ok, I may be a fool but I've just noticed I have 2 Direct Debits which I just cannot account for! How do I find out which companies I'm paying? The only details I have through my internet banking are a reference number, identification number, last payment date and the following:
1. Recipient: TMT1
Frequency: Variable
Last payment request amount: £17.94
2. Recipient: POLICY ADMIN SERVS
Frequency: Variable
Last payment request amount: £7.99
I've asked my bank but apparently they cannot help, so I'm hoping one of you guys can advise me instead.
Thanks!

Both are mobile phone insurances. First one is CPW, other is P4U I think.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

1st one is Phone Insurance/Contract.
I believe the 2nd is too.0 -
ever taken out a contract with cpw or one of their affiliated companies (e2save, onestopphoneshop, etc)?0
-
first one is probably http://www.tmti.net/0

Really? Mobile Phone Insurance?
Wow - these must have been going for years! Now I really do feel like a fool as I've always tried to be really strict about refusing these add-ons.
I guess I have to write all this money off despite the fact the handsets are probably sat in the bottom of a drawer and worth only pennies now, right?
(I know, I should check trade in value but I have nostalgia for the photos saved on them)
So can I just cancel them online and is there a way to double check what they're for first?0 -
The bank should be able to give you the details of the payee.
After all, if you had the DDs reversed, the bank would need to know who to deduct the money from..
If you agreed to those contracts/services, then, yes, you'll need to just write the money off.0 -
Most set them up as part of the contract sign-up and hope you forget with them giving you the first months free most of the time.David

Does your online banking not have a list of direct debits set up on the account? I keep a close eye on mine (but, then my friends say that I'm tight)0

Why not cancel them if the handsets in question are no longer being used?BR 4/10/07

That's really helpful everyone.
I've asked in my local bank in the past about these Direct Debits and the bank told me they couldn't give me any more info. Should I ask face-to-face again or can I send an email request?
Sorry to harp on but I'm worried about cancelling a DD I really need. ...If I do cancel something important, is the company in question likely to get in touch to set up the DD again or...?0
