Cake vs Cupcakes

We went and visited a cake maker today and paid a deposit and booked them for next year! :) Just need to decide what cake to have. Don't need to deceide finally until January. Currently deciding between 3 styles: Cupcake tower 'bow and brooch' and 'bling' Bow and brooch and bling will have purple ribbon and/or crystals to…

Thanks everybody for your opinions. I think we will be going for the cupcake tower. The other night by H2be said he prefered the cupcakes and he didn't think the cakes were anything 'special'. My MOH prefers the cupcakes too, as do my parents. I don't know why I'm just not as excited by them as I was the first time I saw them..:o Still, no rush to make a decision yet. I don't need to tell them until January!
