hi i'm new to this site
just wondering today i tried cancelling my bt vision
i've only had the service (bt vision active since 25th may 2010) i was originally supposed to go live on the 13th may after this date my services still wasn't working so i rang up bt vision and they said please leave it till the 20th as there was something wrong with my order.
The 20th came and i still didn't have my bt vision so i rang them up again they said please leave till 26th so i did all well and good the service started properly on 25th after all the technical problems
so back to today i rang them up wanting to cancel my service they said i've entered my contract already apparently i get 10 days from the date my equipment got delivered to cancel my subscription (fair enough) but since as though my services did'nt go live till the 25th how i am i supposed to know if i like the service or not so i decided its rubbish so went back to sky (gets installed on 4th june not apperent but hey)
back to bt vision (bt internet and phone i want to keep)
heres what thay said i owe them
£155 for the box even though there was a (ONE OFF CHARGE OF £45)
and also £2.75 for every month of my contract thats left its new so 18 months its only near enough 50 quid not a lot but still not the point
my question is how can they say you have 10 days to return any equipment (after this your locked into the contract)
when i didn't even get to check out to see if i liked the service due to all the messing about with technical problems
its really baffeling me
any help if anyone can if you want a clearer storey please reply or send me a message
thanks newbie wayne
