But if they do that all thats going to happen is that i will do the exact same thing back to them, and refuse to pay them any money untill 3months after they send me that bill!

As if they take 3months to bill me, then i will take 3months to pay them.

And take your ball in, scream and scream until you are sick, stamp your feet etc.?

Welcome to the grown up world, you are going to be having trouble...

Why do you think that just because they send you a bill every 3 months you can take 3 months to pay?

Hopefully a supplier will take the easy route out and fit at ppm meter and then you will have no excuse because you wil have to pay for what you use before you use it. Once smart meters are fully rolled out this will happen instantly.

Because they why should i be forced to pay for their incompetence and laziness?!

If they weren't too lazy to send someone round to read my meter every month, then id get sent a bill every month,
and would have to pay that bill within the following 1month before i recieved the next bill.

However as they bill me for 3months usage, then i have 3months to pay that bill as its for 3months worths of electricty.

(They don't ever even send a meter-reading man as they tried once but as i refused to tell him the pass-code for the security entry gate for the street, and said that he would have to always come when i was home so i could buzz him in, instead of tellling him the code,
they said i have to submit my own meter readings online now.
But they only allow them to be submitted every 3montshs)

They wont be installing anything in my flat ever as 1stly i would refuse to ever let them through the street's security gate,
let alone the 2 security gates to entire my apartment block!

But that is irrelevant anyways, as im getting a Debt Relief Order within the next 4-6weeks,
and so once thats been processed they will legally be unable to take any action to chase or recover the debt. :D

As so i will simply put in a switch to a different supplier as soon as the DRO is done.
And they will not be allowed to reject the switch as there will be no outstanding debt anymore,
as it would be illegal for them to attempt to recover it due to the DRO.

You will have poor credit rating that will mean they will ask you for money upfront, money you dont have before they will do business with you. They will then put a PP meter in and you will pay money upfront and unable to get the best deals and have difficulty switching

But you are trying to get out of paying

"Im going to get Debt relief order within the next 2-3months to have all that debt written off"

Just because YOU cant budget properly many others can possible with less money than you, most pay by Direct Debit, put money aside each week or pre payment meter

Guess you will be one on PP soon and pay over odds because You cant keep control of your money

You owe them money fine then get debt written off but life aint rosy taking that route and it will serve you right when utility companies then ask you for money upfront or PP meter and pay over odds, either way utility companies wont loose out

I have no problem paying for electricty by direct-debit inadvance though. :)

What i have the problem with is being with a supplier who i never choose, on their crappiest tarriff that i never agreed to be put on,
and them refusing to bill me monthly for something which they later then claim was billed-internally by them on a monthly basis.

Once i get this debt written off and i switch supplier i have no problem whatsoever paying them by direct-debit inadvance,
as i will be the 1 choosing the company and choosing the tarriff!

    :eek::huh:

Accessing the physical lump sum of money isn't an issue.

Im due to recieve just over £1,050 in a tax rebate cheque within the next few weeks,
which will be more than enough to cover my 1st month in-advance with my future electrcity supplier.

And i get paid my JSA anyways every 2weeks though which i could just save some money from to pay a few dozen quid for the 1st month inadvance for the direct debit with the future company.

What i have the issue with is the principle of british gas putting me in a contract with them that i never signedup for, on a tarriff which i never agreed to, and the refusing to bill me monthly like ever other type of bill is done!!

As so thats why ive refused to pay them and am going to get it written off with the DRO!

So even though you openly admit you will have the money and you dont deny you owe it you believe because you want to be billed monthly and they wont you shouldn't pay it. Or you then should if billed 3 months pay it in 3 months. It doesnt work like that but seeing as its you they should make an exception and not the rule

Are you for real or are trolling?
