Another angle Kev is to assess whether there is any health and safety risk to "the public" nails hanging out, or any broken wood hanging over the pavement. this can be the proverbial straw if you word it as a hazard

the difficulty with this is that its council property, and if they dont see fit to repair it, they wont. if there is no threat to life, or any residual damage from this, then effectively, they can choose to spend the money elsewhere.

Regardless of whether the culprits are nicked, a crime reference no is vitally important in terms of a) claiming on insurance and b) that you or your nan (!) havent created the damage yourselves. Get one, it is important.

Second/3rdly NEVER undertake work and then endeavour to get the council to refund. a) they cannot check or assess the qualty of the work or the trademen b) every tradesman that the councils use HAVE to be checked via best practice guidelines ( I wont bore you with the details of these) but effectively the top & bottom is that any spend on council stock has to be assessed to make sure its good VFM for the taxpayer. ( it doesnt always stand up to common sense, but this is a vital check on ensuring that the taxpayers money is spent legally)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Is there an Anti Social Behaviour team you could get involved. Sounds like there are some out of control kids around your place. I bet your nan's glad she's not on her own.

I suspect that it is. Apparently they've een "rebranding" of late in an attempt to get more support - aiming to change their public image as bigots to a one of a legitimate party and realistic choice for sensible voters.

I jumped on the BNP site after reading this, and there is a lot about the action group doing community work like this. Nothing more than a charm offensive by a group of inbred jack booted cretins with low self esteem and extremely small sexual organs. "Look at us, we're not scared to muck in and make our communities better places to live (as long as you haven't got a brown face)

Anyway, I promised not to hijack this thread, so I'll shut up now.

Well who !!!!!! in your cornflakes today?

I don't see anyone from any other party mucking in. BTW, how do you know they all have small sexual organs? Does that include the ladies also?

    What a sideshow.
