I suspect that it is. Apparently they've een "rebranding" of late in an attempt to get more support - aiming to change their public image as bigots to a one of a legitimate party and realistic choice for sensible voters.

I think that the council should and should always be the first point of contact.

I also believe, altohugh im not 100% that you cant sue the government, so the small claims track shouldnt be any use to you.

I would have thought go right to the top and kick off about it. Have you got crime reference nos for each time that the councils property has been vandalised. I fear this is the sticking point, if the council are not bothered about thier property being trashed, then it really does come down to them and what thier priorities are ,spending wise.

Absolutely they've got like a focus group who specifically do cleanups. It's run entirely by volunteers, is totally free to use, and they will look at sorting out any local issue people have. Of course though first they start with trying to get the local council to deal with the problem as it is their responsibility, but often the council don't want to know (despite charging extortionate amount of council tax), so in that case the cleanup team do all the work themselves.

Considering you pay tax for it and you don't get it done, it's pretty marvelous they tackle the issues for free. Talk about getting MSE on the council lol

Besides I have yet to see any councillors from the other parties actually don some Marrigolds and get on their hands and knees. Go figure.

Hi You CAN'T sue the government, but I'm not sure the council technically counts as the kind of government you can't sue! My sister works for a local council and they have huge lists of guidelines on how not to get sued - which kind of implies that they can be! Again, I'm not 100% sure though as only know what I've learnt by osmosis from my sister!

As for crime reference numbers?, no chance the police dont care, because when they do finally turn up, night has turned into day.

Yet if i went out and laid my own brand of law out on these little sh&*&%"!s then id be spending the night in the local nick

That's quick. Usually spring has turned into winter.

i believe it is the councils responsibility especially as it is due to vandalism-they only wouldn't replace it if they thought it was done by your nan!
saying that-if you have read any of my other posts u will realise i HATE the council (in my area mainly!) we have been waiting to have our fence in the garden fixed since april we have two toddlers and if they go through the hole in the fence it leads onto a bus route-they have been warned if anything happens they will be heavily sued but that hasn't worked as we are still waiting.
ring the repairs line and tell them you need a fence fixed if they don't complete it within a certain timescale your nan can claim compensation from them, also go to your local mp about the damage/council.
