Car Selling

Hi, can anyone advise the best way to sell a used car. Have tried ebay last week with no joy even though i had several watchers. Have relisted again this week. Also tried local paper in a free ad, this has only attracted scammers, wanting to buy my car sight unseen and pay by 'bankers draft'. I nearly fell for this until i googled it and see it is a well known scam. The only other options i can think of are either driving about with for sale signs on car or going to we buy any car, which would be my last resort. Any help appreicated as obviously the longer i keep it the less value it has and mot and road tax period getting shorter.

Can you give us more details about the car and how much you are looking for it?
Also, how long is the MOT, mileage, SH, etc0 -

- Hi
I'd try it on Autotrader at £2595 or £2495. It is definitely priced around the lower end of the price bracket, though they're not the most popular of car.
I'd try gumtree (free) and pistonheads (free) too.0 -
Had never heard of one of those until I read this thread and googled it, I must say that the asking price of £2,600 is slightly optimistic IMHO as it's nothing more than a Daewoo.
Ugly
Lack of spares and ECU problems
You don't say what model you have, but Wisebuyers has the top of the range model rated at no more than £2,100 in a private sale.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
thanks for the advice but i did check the values before i priced it and the price i am looking for is at the lower end as the previous person said, and the values do go up for chevrolet markings. I will give it a go anyway as these cars go for a lot higher trade value.0

To get shot of it the price would be in the region of £2k by the looks. If it was me and it was running ok I would need a very very good reason to change it. I imagine you will be taking a big hit on it at that price.0

In fact, I'd probably rate the Korean stuff slightly higher than the yank offerings.....mainly because everyone knows that yank cars don't do corners
However, if the trade pay more than the book says - why not just sell it to a trader?Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
