Also if you are sending it off make sure you get a couple of pictures of it.You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0

It's much better for them if you send them it for an internal investigation. The alternative is environmental health in your area who would take it up.
I was on a training course with an Ombudsman recently and they told us the story of someone who complained to a company about mouse droppings in a cereal.
They got a very apologetic reply, how shocked the company was, first time it had happened and they would ensure all steps were taken etc.........on the back of the letter was a yellow post it that said............"send standard mouse letter"

I'd photograph it and put it in a clear polythene envelope, stapled shut, then send it (in another envelope with covering letter recorded delivery to them.
Why will you have to do without weetabix? I don't understand?0 -
I wouldnt worry, at least it proves it was made out of wheat surprisingly.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

I spent all afternoon at the dentist who filled in my tooth.Thank god for that it did not hurt. Was feeling sick that i had to drag my 2 children with me.Luckily i am under the free nhs dental as my son is not 1 year old. What kept me thinking was what if one of my little ones had eaten it from my bowl instead of me then????????[And they often do.]
I need to know who i should contact.Any suggestions?I got late at the dentist as i had to wait so did not post the stuff.I did keep it ready though in a zip lock clear bag.Have written a letter to them too.0 -
Did you keep the receipt from the dentists? If it were me I would contact this address with a photocopy of the dentist bill and a photo of the seed if possible. Would be worth the price of a stamp if you get anything back:

I once broke a tooth on a Weight Watchers toffee. Wish I'd thought about claiming off them now :rolleyes:2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
The treatment was free so there was no receipt involved. My son is yet to turn 1 so there is free dental. But i will definitely send it out tommorrow as i am upset.I paid for weetabix and not a hard piece in it.It damaged my tooth so thats irritating plus the thoughts that race in my mind what if????????
I understand that this has to with food quality rather than environmental.........
I have the address.Thanks0 -
You can't claim for "what if's".
The only recompense would be for losses you have suffered as a cause of the seed in your cereal. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Surely the environmental Health Department is who deal with Food complaints?0
