Upgrade from HTC TyTn ?

I am using the HTC to keep up with my work emails and to keep myself organised (it syncs with Outlook at work). The handset belongs to the company and I pay for the calls with Orange PAYC, it's very cheap at £ 10 pm because I don't surf the net, it's just a fantastic PDA that makes my life easier.

Call me shallow if you want but it's a pretty ugly and bulky item, and I'm tempted by newer, slinkier models. However, I'm limited in my options because my workplace doesn't have Blackberry Exchange, they have upgraded managers from TyTn's to Iphones now and are not interested in BBs. I don't get to have a company mobile because I'm office-based (fair enough !), hence the unusual arrangement.

So, is there any point in upgrading from the TyTn considering what I use it for ? I am happy to pay for a new handset myself and would like a slinkier model but the TyTn is a little powerhouse of a smartphone and I suspect I would be wasting my money by upgrading.

Thank you
Keep calm and carry on

What do you actually use it for more specifically? Push email? Media player? Camera? Do you need the full Qwerty? Want to stay on windows?

As a first guess i would say the n97 mini

I have its bigger brother which isnt a lot more powerful (just bigger screen and memory and it is a powerhouse of a mobile with an excellent push email widget(an app with a little dedicated box on the home screen), has an office suite (cant create docs, just read them), flash, free decent sat nav and some suite good apps.

The normal N97 is great when it works(doesnt work much lol) but the 97 mini has revised all of the larger ones faults and it works effortlessly and is what the normal n97 should have been.

Have you thought about the HTC Desire? It's a seriously powerful phone and pretty slimline too.

I suspect this would be a waste of money seeing as the op doesnt use the net and is on PAYG, all those apps and all that power and little to use it on, hardly warrants the cost if they have to buy the handset themselves.
