Have you got a Johnstones Paints retail outlet near you ? - I used to work for the Kalon Group who include Johnstones's/Manders/Leyland paints and who used to produce the paint for Crown.
As far as I am aware the Johnstones paint is the same stuff as Crown, just branded differently and with a lower price tag.
If you are wanting Dulux, sometime's the Glyn Webb DIY chain have some offers on the regular shades, otherwise try Focus DIY.0 -

do not get branded paint from diy stores ,it doesn't cover as well as trade paint try your local building supplies , remember you only get what you pay for0

The larger Tesco supermarkets sell paint!
I have just decorated my 3bed semi top to bottom and have bought dulux/crown throughout and have spent approx £450 on paint alone!!! and £75 on backing paper and £50 on wallpaper £50 on brushes and rollers! Do one room at a time if you are on a budget! also get a store points reward card if you use Homebase regularly...! it all adds up... good luck
