iPhone email.

At the moment I have a Blackberry 8900 on a O2 Simplicity 1 month rolling contract.

I have been thinking about an iPhone, as in buying one outright not on contract. However I use email more than texts. Does the iPhone have "push" email like the Blackberry?

No it's fetch. So every 15mins is the best you can do. I had an 8900 but left it on the train. Thought I'd for an iPhone. In virtually everyway it's a better phone but I like the mathematical feel of blackberry software and push email. You just don't have that on iPhone.

I love my iPhone for everything it can do but in terms of practicality and the software interface. It just works to me. I bought my girlfriend a 9700 and I'm so jealous of it but I'd never tell her.

My preference in your shoes would be to wait for the iPhone 4G. But if you love your BB no matter how much you may think you want an iPhone you might regret it. If that might be your case get the 9700.

I cant agree more with Danstar, if you do love the BlackBerry like I do then I would say in my own personal point of view the iPhone would be a let down on the E-Mail Front...

Yes! You can either use a GMail account or if you have your own Domain, configure your Domain to use Google Apps and then you can get Push emails for sure.

Or you could get an Exchange account with Push, again with your own Domain.

If you need to know how, please feel free to PM me. :-)
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

Thanks for all your replies. I think I'll stay with my Blackberry. I get a lot of email (not spam!!).

There are rumours that Blackberry are bringing out a 9800 it's a touchscreen slider with full qwerty keyboard underneath. http://crackberry.com/blackberry-9800-slider-photos

Looks quite good, along the lines of the Palm Pre.
