I had been looking at toners off and on since I ran out of mine a few weeks ago and settled on making a homemade concoction using cider vinegar:
http://www.ehow.com/how_4488179_make-apple-cider-vinegar-toner.html
I did the one in step 2: essentially 1 part cider vinegar, 1 part water and 1 part green tea (mine was Twinings Green Tea with Mango, oh la la!). I also added a 2-3 drops of orange essential oil I have laying around. Used it this evening and it is really nice. I'd say it's just as good as any other toner I've used. My skin felt nice and clean, soft, and definitely 'toned' (a feeling I've never had from any other toner). Plus, using cider vinegar and tea I already had made it super cheap. I think I got the bottle from Asda for about £1 if even that and it's a massive bottle too.
I had a spritzer bottle laying around that I bought several months back and put it in there. I'm keeping it in the fridge, no idea how long it'll last.March win: Fair Squared organic spa skincare set

noticed my bust /nec k area looking rtather crepey after sunbathing and thought about buying the Dove stuff seen advertized recently but it had a very bad review on Boots so decided not to.
Hi, I get this problem too, and can recommend a couple of really nice products. If you feel like splashing the cash - Philosophy When Hope is not Enough Neck & Decollete cream. If you're being good and sticking to a budget - Avon Mediterranean Olive Oil Firming Neck & Chest serum.
I will have to be strong later this month, as I've got both these opened and I think both are going to run out at the same time. I am going to try to make do with regular body lotions as I've got such a mountain of them.
Hope this helps.0 -
hello ladies,
I am still working through my gigantic stash. I still fall off the wagon every now and then, but mostly in the £ shops and Boots clearance so I don't feel as bad.
Someone mentioned the M +S aftersun that is buy one get one free atm. I can also recommend their spray self tan. I think it is the best one I have used so far.
I keep forgetting to update my UU. I will try to remedy that this month.
Thanks to all who keep this thread going. It really helps me. xx.0 -
New thread yay! Cannot believe its June, aarrgh!
Used up:
Body Shop mango body butter - wiba yes. Love it. my skin slurps it up! the smell is really lovely too. I have a champneys body butter so will use that next (well done to freyas mum for all the body lotions etc she used up!). I have no other body lotions in stash! I have a S&G heel genius which I can't decide is good or not.
I don't think I'll set a monetary amount only because I need:
- scrub - will probably go back to Dermologica its about £30 (I know but hear me out) - its last ages about 6-9 months. plus my skin likes it. I'm wasting money faffing around with my skin.
- eye cream -a few splutters is all that remains.
My problem areas for stash are:
- shampoos and conditioners
- face moisturisers
- bubble bath
- liquid foundation which I dont like to use in hot weather
Thanks everyone for all the support. Lets see if we can resist all the magazine, boots and body shop offers this month. Hope Tara is having a lovely time in Paris!Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Well I was tempted on the 1st day:o I went in Morrisons and saw a hair colourant I had been wanting to try for a while at 1/2 price Clairol Perfect 10 it was only £3.49 and as I had used up a hair colourant yesterday and am down to my last 4/5 and I regularly colour my hair then I thought it was worth buying whilst it was on offer as I have not seen that cheap before.
Must do better for the rest for the month.0 -
Forgot to mention that I used up my last 2 handcream samples last week: another Atrixo one and an Olay Time Resist sachet. WIBA? No, I didn't like the smell of the Olay.
Have a nice day!0 -
Grr, feeling the lack of liquid foundation today: have a spot on my neck and a distinct reddening on the side of the nose. have applied spot cream, some mineral powder foundation (I really do find this too heavy in summer) and some benetint to my lips, which is quite imposing on me...to try and draw the eye away from the skin imperfections.0

Bronnie, thanks for the link to the Dove sample, will be applying for that!
A use up to report - Sanctuary Body Wash travel size. WIBA? Not sure - it was a very old bottle and I found that it didn't lather very well but I seem to recall that I've used newer versions and it's fine so maybe they've changed the formula since I got that one? Will have a dig around to see whether I have any of the new ones and try that.My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

pinkandwhites wrote: »Hi, I really like Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Colour - it smells lovely (of peaches) and works well on my hair when it needs an intensive treatment. I think its about £5 for the bottle, but you could get a sachet for about £1 to try and see if its for you?
I want to add something to it, like a hair mask or something as an extra boost. The aussie stuff is really good though, and does smell great!
Have you tried any hair masks/leave in treatments/etc that deep condition coloured hair really well?0 -
Think I deserve a gold star as bought nothing last night despite being at Harvey Nics surrounded by temptation and a 15% off discount.
Was quite a MSE night as lots of free drinks and nibbles. Did pick up the Bliss Oxygen mask as a friend raves about it but was good and put it back down again.:A
Shower gel almost gone. Yippee. :TJust travel sized lavender stuff got in a gift set to use then I can finally buy new stuff.
Looking a bit tired - anyone tried Benefit eye bright or similar?MFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000
