Natwest E-isa. How do I close the account?

I've looked on the website and there's no indication on how to do this. I've spoken to the staff at my Natwest branch, and they're totally clueless too. Next port of call is to ring, but I'd rather avoid that since they'll probabaly try to sell me some near worthless product

Do you really need to close it? You could just transfer out all the money in there and leave the account dormant, it doesn't make much of a difference unless you are bothered by them sending you statements!
Best option is to call them though if you really want it closed, you dont have to listen to their offerings of products anyway, just tell them where to stick it :rotfl:0 -

You need to write into them quoting the account details. They cannot close it over the phone.
Write to the address on the link;

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but I thought I'd spare others the pain. After digging around the Natwest website and speaking to two different people on the 'phone, I've found the postal address you need to write to with the closure instruction for an e-ISA:
Natwest Online Banking
PO BOX 1100
Central House, Second Floor
Otley Road
Harrogate
HG3 1XT
The only information I found online and from one advisor tells me to write to or visit my local branch, which they closed a few months ago. Funnily enough, the closure sign was on "Natwest - helpful banking" branded paper. Why on earth this information isn't readily accessible online I don't know. Actually, I do - I guess they hope customer inertia means they won't bother switching to a better deal.
