Lol......just as well I like you saz. :rotfl:

Have you been reading the icing thread and did you see Maz's new 'interesting' smilie? I was tempted to post it in response to you but thought this maybe wasn't the place for it. :rotfl:

*goes off to get the hairdryer onto the cucs to dry them off a bit*

(I'm kidding before anyone thinks I might actually be that daft. ;))

Thanks seggy. They are clearly very sensitive to too much water. My tendency is to overwater anything and everything:o

my remaining indoor cucumber plant has produced 4 lovely flowers overnight...But i think only 1 of them is a female flower...do i have to pollinate with a brush or do i remove the male flowers..or do i do nothing???....im also worried about repotting this one,as the last one died within hours(no water retaining gel etc in the MP compost)
Depends whether its an f1 (all female)or not. If its an f1 then pollinating might make it bitter (I'm told) if its an open pollinated one (telegraph type) then yes.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Hi P-T-P.Thankyou, its not an F1 variety(the one that died suddenly was tho,cos i bought it from garden center)this one i grew from seed, its tall, with tendrils and called "marketmore"...I googled pictures of cucumber flowers, thats why i think only 1 is female cos its fat behind the flower the others are very thin.Ive got it out sitting in the sunshine just now.

An update on my cucs - they seem to wilt in the sunshine which I think is rather strange. The last few days they are fine in the morning in the shade, then around mid morning they get sun until about 6pm and when I come home from work they are all wilted and looking very sorry for themselves, by around 8-9pm they seem to have revived. I'm watering them quite sparingly but the whole thing seems a bit strange to me.
