Are 85Mbps Homeplugs OK for Freesat HD?

I'm just getting my World Cup viewing sorted out and have gone the route of a Humax HDR box (currently have a Humax Freeview PVR which has been excellent). At the same time I want to be able to use iPlayer on the TV via Freesat. The router is at the other end of the house from the TV, so I'm thinking of using a pair of these to link them:

These are 85Mbps devices, will I be OK streaming HD video via these or do I need to go up to the 200Mbps standard? It's unlikely that much else would be using the network at the same time.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Thanks, but they're the 200MBps version, which is £40 more for the pair. My question was, do I need that speed to stream HD video satisfactorily, or will the 85Mbps version do the job?

I've not tried to do this on 85's but when I looked into it everything pointed towards needing the 200's to do HD streaming.

I went for these 2x200 belkin ones http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-F5D4072uk-Poweline-Adaptor-Twin-Pack/dp/tech-data/B00193T0HQ/ref=de_a_smtd and have streamed 16gb HD files with no problems from a NAS to my media center.

personaly I'd defo go for the 200's given that the cost diference is so small nowadays.

edit - actually looking at your link you'd be paying £20 more for your 85's compared to the 200's I have?!?

I'm now looking at the 200Mbps D-Link DHP-303 kit, which is £71 on Amazon, these seem to have good reviews:

I can't find the link now, but I read recently that 85Mbps Homeplugs aren't really great for HD content. You're only at best going to get around 35Mbps. I think you're better off paying the extra and going for the 200Mbps ones.

I have had both variates and although you can stream HD via the 85 Mbps ones this would be pushing their limit. 85Mbps is the top end max speed you can get under the best conditions in a normal situation you would get a far less sustained speed.
So in short go for the faster ones

Hold on, are you talking about streaming iPlayer from the internet, into your router, through the homeplugs, and into your freesat box? if so they'll be more than enough. The pic quality on iPlayer is excellent when you choose high quality, but it ain't HD, and it any case I'll bet your net connection is far less than 85Mbps!
If you're talking about distributing HD video around the house that's a different matter, and will also depend on the quality of your wiring in your house if using homeplugs.

Yes, it's for streaming iPlayer back to the TV via router/HomePlugs/Humax Freesat HD box-was forgetting that iPlayer is not HD (but maybe will be in the future)? If so 85Mbps should do the job.

IPlayer does have HD content for programs that were broadcast on BBC HD.

If you haven't bought them yet, take a look at Solwise. These get great reviews.
