  • I think there is a pattern developing there Pepe- do they have the word "Arms" at the end of them? :)

Sounds like you had a really good family Hol though Bob.
Cant wait for 11th september when I take Vera ( and Mrs P ) to North Mortehoe in Devon. Got a site overlooking the sea and only a 500metre walk to a beach where the mutts can run around and I can go fishing.....and Mrs P can do something as well.
It'll be my luck that, as its so close to the Atlantic, there'll be a hurricane.

Having a weekend walking this weekend. Starting at Reading and hoping to reach Abingdon over Friday afternoon and Saturday. Bit of a cheat as the railway virually mirrors the route so I can chicken out at any point.

    Sounds great-

err it wasn't exactly a family holiday. Mr B and i in the posh hotel, DD2 and Ds stayed at home, because DD1 had other visitors. So we got to visit and went scuttling back to hotel to participate in good food and the hotel facilities:D

Well another day of the shred under my belt so to speak. I seemed to have lost two of the pounds i put on during hols :) So looking forward to getting back to where i was. I have a dress i want to get into, i bought it as a treat when i lost some weight previously and can nearly zip it up..does anyone else hang up 'the incentive dress' just to keep you going?

On the spends front have spent £7 on essential things for DD2-so that brings grocery spends upto £37. I also took back some bread which i had bought yesterday to make up sandwiches for Mr.B, it had mould on it :( So will make some more hm bread today and make from that. Spent the refund on veggies instead. And had a rather good veggie soup :)

Think i will add the shred to sig. I will also start jogging now, as i am walking at a faster pace and trying to build up like that.

Have made a payment to interest free card and balance is coming down nicely :) Another £34 making that card at £1300. Will be cleared very quickly after next month as i am going to do PAD until finished in feb :)

That's about it for the mo.

    2" off waist
    1.5" off hips-

    So chuffed :)

  • And mega thrifty meals today.

Left over chicken-shredded( in honour of Jillian) and cooked spag bol style. Served with wholemeal spaghetti- nom nom. Rest of chicken used to make a stock.

As dinner was HM veg soup, there was a lot left, so have added a tin of toms, and rest of spaghetti and this will make a super supper.

Loaves made, so Mr.B will have dinner tomorrow. Just about to batch cook some scones for greedy young adults who seem to constantly graze at the mo.

Have a few old spuds to use up, so may well make Memory girls stovies...one use of slow cooker.

Have got some pulses soaking ready for more soups tomorrow. :)

Is it not in honour of the people who chickened out of the shred?

Just spotted and love your thread title and loved it, especially this morning as I've realised that it's half way through August and how much of what I set out to do in January I haven't done. I blame Baldrick too. Enough to start me singing the Goblin drinking song, lol!

    Well done on the shred.
