Charlotte's tea rooms and Trebah gardens- nearly right on the second one as it is next door to Glendurgan and was owned by Austin healy family:)

Oh and we were sat at the front window in the tearooms. Never had bad service there before, but if anyone is thinking of going- don't bother. Is overpriced and bad service, and the bread was stale- i may even write a review.

Yep- we usually go there, but decide to see if Trebah was different. Well it was, nice gardens, but not as well planted-too much of the same really.

Yes it was :) They have a wonderful menu too. When you are down there in September, go for a meal. It works out at £35 a head for non residents. That is 3 courses, and tea or coffee and biscuits. It really is of such a high standard- that i am sure you will go back.:D

Sounds like you had a good time except for the tea rooms.

We did, i just suppose i was taken aback with the rudeness. We had already asked if we could share, as we had a massive breakfast and a lovely evening meal to look forward too. The other waitress to be fair was very nice and said of course we could. I was also with my daughter and her friends- so was a bit of a treat for them. We had already ordered a fair amount and this was for OH and me. All the fuss was over a shared pot of tea- she wouldn't bring an extra cup and said we had to order another pot of tea- nor would she bring an extra plate. She said it in a loud voice and tried to make out that we were scamming them. The whole order came to over £60 so i hardly think that we were scamming anyone. I just thought it was rude and unhelpful  She was really shocked when i told her to take it back.
