Had a nice time, the hotel was fantastic:D Champers, gourmet meals:beer: Luckily there was a swimming pool and a gym to work it all off. I even took the dreaded shred with me-but no DVD player in the room  I was going to ask for one, but thought that they may have thought i was a perv or something:rotfl::rotfl:
Am shattered now though, as the journey was long and tiring.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

You are right - i didn't really trumpet it about did i? Hmm was 25th wedding anniversary too- some of me was unsure, and well you all know what i am like:o
Weather was warm and muggy, but had some nice afternoons after bad starts in the morning. Being British, i of course had my waterproofs on:D:rotfl: Hair went very curly( that fine rain will do it every time) Visited some gardens as well- and tearooms in Truro. Poor service in some of these places, full of jobsworths. The tea rooms refused to allow us to share a high tea-even though it was too much for one person and one waitress said yes, the other said it wasn't their policy and we would have to order two-i said no and to take it back. She relented in the end. The other place, had a beach at the bottom of the garden with a cafe- they refused to serve any drinks as it was the end of the day,(they were shutting in half an hour-insert shruggy smilie) but we could have ice creams- i did say that it was just as quick to pour a cold drink-got annoyed with him as he didn't say straight away but let me ask for tea, then coffee and then a cold drink- each time he said no and i thought they had run out- just turned out they didn't want to.I then said had they nowt moist( in Peter Kay style):rotfl: At which i heard other Northern voices, shouting- aye love you tell the ponce:o:o OOps But can't abide poor service. The hotel on the other hand, couldn't do enough-nothing was too much trouble. Just goes to show.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Was it this place in Truro Bob ? http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=Tea+rooms+in+Truro&fb=1&gl=uk&hq=Tea+rooms&hnear=Truro,+Cornwall&cid=17162056199817945562
I know it well - up the stairs & the waitresses dress in old fashioned uniforms
Also house with gardens going down to the beach - Glendurgan maybe ?
Just call me Miss Marple :rotfl:Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
