the dss have stopped my jsa because they offered me 4 jobs which i refused out of about 200 because they wasnt suitable and low pay. i dont have a penny and not eaten for 3 days and expected to still sign on which ill have to walk 3 miles because i dont have any bus fare money. please dont get me wrong, i have been all over the country for interviews which the dss stopped my travel warrants last month so any future interviews i'll have to beg for money or try to thumb a lift. the dss told me to apply for a crisis loan or a hardship grant and didnt really care that my jsa had been stopped. please im begging you what do i do next, im skint, hungry, and just feel like ending it all. i really need and want a job

They were within their rights to sanction your benefit for not applying for the jobs so I dont really see much scope for challenge there.
DWP will not pay a Crisis Loan while a sanction is in place - that would defeat the purpose of the sanction.
If you are a single person with no kids then hardship isnt an option until after 2 weeks.
I've no idea what you can do to alleviate your situation.0 -

You need to do want the DWP have suggested if you want the chance of receiving some money, you may get reduced hardship payments.
You could try to appeal the decision but I am not sure that your chances of success would be very good it you have rejected applying for jobs if they were reasonable and you refused to apply.0 -
I hope you haven't given your email address in the expectations that people will send you money!0

Well obviously you don't need and want a job because you've turned 4 down. Your username suggests you live in Hull. It has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country and the pay in Hull is poor compared to East Yorkshire so you have to take what comes.
When you signed your JSA agreement, you agreed to take any job offered after an initial 6 month period. You've broken that agreement so now your JSA has been stopped.
With a Conservative government, expect it to get worse. There's a whole load of people in Hull about to get a rude awakening. The Conservatives don't put up with people sat on their backsides living off the State.0 -
You were offered jobs so someone thought you were suitable for them. You chose to turn them down, breaking your JSA agreement (which is basically a contract) and so, as par to the agreement, you got your benefits stopped.
Why exactly did you turn them down? Surely a low paying job is better than no job at all?0 -
They did the last time they were in office - they thought it was a 'price worth paying' apparently.Well obviously you don't need and want a job because you've turned 4 down. I agree. Of course, if he's physically unable to do the job, it's different - but he won't be forced to apply for jobs he can't do.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
