I am sure next year you will have many flowers and plum.0 -
It definately will help if you turn the soil over around the tree, try not to damage the roots suppose it will not harm to feed the soil to after digging round. (Not sure about the last bit
) but it can't hurt can it??

My bet is that it's gone to biennial bearing. It's exhausted itself by bearing two good crops when it's a very young tree. If this is the case, it'll set a lot of fruit next year. If this happens and you want to make it revert to annual bearing, pick off half the plums towards the end of June. That way it won't tire itself out again.0

I bought the mini orchard collection in Jan 11 and there was no fruit last year despite some flowers on the apple tree. This year the apple and pear tree are full of blossom but nothing on the plum tree, though it looks very healthy with plenty of new growth. The trees arrived about 6ft tall including root and are now about 6ft having been planted in the garden after initially been in large tubs.
If they are to produce fruit, when am I likely to see the first signs?
The cherry tree appears dead from half way up still but there are a few blossoms on the lower half. Any tips on what action I should take - doe the top half need cut back to encurage new growth from below?

That is interesting about the mini orchard I got mine in February this year and they have now been in the garden for about a month. Cheery has two flowers, lots of leaves on the pear and victoria plum but the apple tree has only just started showing signs of life. Have you looked under the bark of your cherry is it green or brown.Save £12k in 25 No 49

The lower half is fine but the top part is definitely brown and dead. The others are much healthier this year since being moved from their tubs.0
