TalkTalk Broadband on the BBC Breakfast Show

If like me and it would appear countless members of this chat forum have become infuriated and frustrated with the failure of TalkTalk to connect you to their Broadband - we are not alone. On the BBC Breakfast Show this morning (23/08/06) the programme did a piece on the failure of TalkTalk's Broadband Service. In fact, they intend doing something again tomorrow (24/08/06) and said they would like to hear from viewers who are disatisfied not just with TalkTalk but other ISP's. (I have already e-mailed my experiences of TalkTalk). This appears to be a good opportunity to tell the nation about the failure of companies like TalkTalk. And, by the way Charles Dunstone (Head of TalkTalk) was invited to attend this morning's show but declined because he was too busy!!!

I was with TalkTalk a couple of months after they launched broadband a couple of years ago, the service was extremely poor then, people from day one have been complaining about the poor service, as it was dreadful, TalkTalk can't really blame the huge numbers of people wanting free broadband for the problems, they problems have always been there, they just don't have and don't want to pay for the capacity, they want to do everything on the cheap, and cram as many people on to the very small pipes they have.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

Did any member see the bad coverage that TT got on the BBC Breakfast Show.

"It all began when Susanna signed up for Talk Talk's free broadband service.

The package costs her £20 per month and included line rental, national and international calls, plus free broadband.

She's had no problem making calls, but experienced difficulties when installing broadband.

It should have been easy - just insert the CD, connect and go.

But Susanna couldn't get connected to Talk Talk's broadband service. So she called the helpline.

She kept getting cut-off from the free Talk Talk helpline so she tried the broadband technical helpline which costs 10 pence per minute.

Susanna still couldn't get connected so she called in a computer expert and got the service up and running.

But the problems continued. Susanna found that the service often would not connect and frequently drops out while surfing the net and the problems with the helpline goes on. "

On BBC TV news about 7.20am, they discussed TalkTalk and the many letters of complaint regarding TalkTalk poor response times, ie in new customers receiving their Welcome Packs, lengthy phone calls, poor customer satisfaction etc. Next week they will be discussing moving from one ISP to another. Remember, Thursday. Speaking about TT, they say they're technical support is 10p per minute, but if you look closely, there is a £2 connection.

I used to have my phone calls go through a CPS company - they were bought out by talktalk. I left before talktalk took over the client database and received an email thanking me for my custom.

Yet I still receive talktalk phonebills and after explaining to them I have never been with talktalk they still try and charge me.

Sorry, in my haste I failed to notice the original post which is accurate, unlike mine.
