Comparison Sites

I did a search and couldn't find any similar threads but correct me if I'm wrong.
I've just had my buildings and contents renewal and, as usual, it is over priced. So, off I go into my annual gruelling trawl throught the comparison sites and I find some tempting offers.
Low and behold my present provider has the best price but I can't access the quote on their website. The next 3 best prices all go up by approx 20% when I click on the links.
I did Directline as well as this site says they have a 44% discount but they still weren't competetive.
So my question is - Is this site happy to recommend using comparison websites when the prices seem to be falsely low?
