Weedkiller mishap with Veg

I did this myself on tomatoes some years ago, using the watering can OH had put weedkiller in to do the grass. I'm afraid they didn't make it. I got rid of the compost too.
There are still plants around, B&Q had some in yesterday.0 -
You'll to replace the compost around them as well.0

Hi
I can post you a couple of sweet peppers and may be a chili if you pm me you address. If I parcel them up at 5.pm 1st class they will be with you undamaged I think.
LooDoing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
Don't panic!
Keep washing the plants - in fact give them a bath if you can - and put them outside when it's cold (if they are indoors).
Lawn spot treatment takes 4 to 6 weeks to work. It's a growth hormone, but it's ineffective if there's a downpour within 12 hours and it's delayed if the temperature drops below a certain point.
It's a longshot but your quick thinking and emergency first aid may well have saved your plants. I've got my fingers crossed for you.0 -
I wouldn't risk eatign them even if they do survive tbh.0

Weedkiller - aaaaaaaaarrrrghhhhhhh no! Oh dear. Bin it all.
Too late for you right now but what I used to have was a red watering can used only for lawn /path weedkiller chemicals and a metal or green one only for watering plants.
Sorry that I can't offer to post you any plants. Wilkinsons are a good bet Focus had some on half price but you can start again with a 6 pack of mixed salad leaves seed and radish seed. For anything it is too late to sow now B&Q do have lots.No longer half of Optimisticpair

There was quite a lot of rain the evening that I sprayed. I too have a seperate watering can for weedkiller, didnt help me on this occasion because I thought I was using bug spray when I in fact had picked up the lawn spot weed killer and amazingly didnt notice!
I have binned the lot this morning (still fuming with myself), except for courgette and cucumber which dont look too bad at the moment. I have 9 trays of Petunia that so far dont look too bad either so I'm really hoping they survive.
I have re-seeded peas and green beans in the beds, and seeded more courgette, cucumber and tomato - they will certainly be late but I am hoping i might get something, I thought for the price of a couple of seeds and another few hours of my time it was worth a shot.
Thanks all for the kind offers of plants, I am going to B&Q after lunch to see what they have and I will try Wilkos too - I'd forgotten about them. I might even try Wyevale later on - but thats hardly money saving is it :-)0
