Hugs to mehefin, Diva, pennypincher, ladygrim, missruby etc.

Made chicken with new potatoes, green beans and peas for lunch then did dishes and cleaned cooker top.

Spent ages this morning clearing porch and trying to get engrained dirt off floor. DH had already washed the floor once this morning and informed me "You won't shift these stains - it looks like scorch or burn marks and they won't come out".

I sprinkled neat Flash liquid on marks, left for half an hour then mopped with boiling water. Mop water was black!

DH very impressed as floor now looks a lot better but still needs more work.

Going to nip down to Sainsbury's and see if I can pick up any bargains.

    Hugs to all.

    Hi everyone :)

I need hugs today; went out last night and didn't get in till 3am so feeling a little fragile!!!

Even so, I have done lots of washing today including stripping the beds and washing those. Big cleaning day tomorrow - I want to get the kitchen blitzed completely. It's already clean but I want to give it a deep clean. I mop the floor several times a week but it really needs a hands & knees clean! Got the stardrops with ammonia ready for that job...

I've got a stew in the slow cooker for this evening with some nice fresh tiger bread from Asda. Also need to cook a gammon joint for dinner tomorrow. We'll have gammon, egg and chips. I'll make up some ham & chicken fried rice too for lunch at work on Tuesday!

Hugs to everyone that needs or wants one :)

    Hi Guys!

Just a quickie from me as I wanted to say thanks for all the PM's and messages. A very BIG thank you also to the kind mse'r who has offered their services if needed and thanks also to the card I received yesterday.

OH is now home. Very sore, but he's here and grumpy as he can't do a lot:D They have given him some strong pain killers which knock him out and gives me some peace for a couple of hrs:rotfl:....poor man....it must be difficult for him.

Have been sorting out accounts and moving money around to pay bills etc this morning. Got a chilli from the freezer that we made a couple of weeks back and will have that with wraps, salad and rice. WM has been on twice today including the shower curtains that needed doing.

My helper is here in the morning, so will get her to do the main chores for me as she's here for a couple of hrs.

I havent been too good the past few days, but think it's been worse with worry IYKWIM. Will see what the nurse says in the morning.

Anyway, I must go and hope everyone is well and okay.

    PP

    Hi,

Sorry if my posts are very self-centred atm ... and prob will be for a while ... but I'm literally coming on and getting as much out as I can before my internet access loses connectivity again and then once it's gone again am going back through and reading the thread. I posted a long one yesterday, but connectivity died before I was able to send :(

Well lovely chilled out day so far here :D We went to church, the park and then came home for a roast made of l/overs. DD2 went up for a nap and I've been in the garden relaxing with DD1 - ok weather isn't bright sunshine and it's v windy but still lovely to be outside at home IYSWIM.

Yesterday we went to the woods and made a den - with a living room, bedrooms and a bathroom :rotfl:We've got log seats and coat hooks - still got to make a table out of something too. It was lovely and we're going to go back there regularly to read/play cards etc and just enjoy it. It's going to be our home away from home. The best thing about it was that it was raining yesterday and our den was completely sheltered and dry. We also picked loads of lovely bright yellow, pink and blue wild flowers which are sitting prettily on my kitchen windowsill. I also up rooted a small (as in tichy ... less than the size of my hand) fir and a cutting off a blackberry bush too which I'm hoping will take in the garden later next month. We then came over and had LO chicken pie ... was a lovely day despite the weather :D
Got a great day planned for tomorrow too and all for free :money:
Hope everyone is having a great Sunday :grouphug: to all those who want/need them xxx

    evening all!

not long got back from a very long wearing day at work - am so glad to be home. Usually I love my job but occasionally it wears me out. Am back tomorrow for another 11 hours then looking forward to 2 days off.

OS - washing in machine(no time this morning) will hang out over night.
Tea for DH and DS was beef(not very OS - cold beef from tesco and everything else from the freezer) but its all I could cope with as I've already cooked a roast at work for 9 people today.

House reasonably clean. Bed needs changing tomorrow.

    (((hugs))) to those in need.

am now having spaghetti on toast for tea while watching Housewife 49 on tv:)(again)

back later for a quick read x
