Potatoes wilted
Comments

Well, after some investigation today, it appears that the stems are rotting beneath the compost:
Could I have overwatered? The other plants in the same bag are also wilting badly, but the other bag remains, as yet, unaffected.
I could feel a few small spuds when I investigated. Should I leave the plants until they die off, or harvest what's there now?If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Cheers Yorkie1.
Sounds like I was a bit unlucky to get it but it can happen. Ho hum. I've emptied that bag now, and have a few small spuds that appear to be quite sound. Will they be ok to eat?
And as the disease only affects potatoes, is it ok to reuse the compost elsewhere? If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
