Breast feeding to bottle

Hi guinea,
yes, there is a lot of conflicting advice. On the subject of introducing mixed feeding, it used to be recommended from 4 months, but is now 6 months. In fact, some very eminent specialits in infant nutrition say there is no reason for a child not to be exclusively breast fed for the first two years.
I on the other hand fed mine while I was eating lunch or dinner, and when they'd rather grab something from my plate than breastfeed, I took that as a hint...;)
There are several books published by the NCT, and they are all research based. I'm a bit of a fan - without their support when I had lots of problems (hospital infection) with my DS1, there wouldn't have been a DD or DS2! I was a memeber for about 20 years, on the local and regional committee. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Please can you let me know how you get on with the blow up cushion?
Thanks
Have now collected the blow up cushion and have used it a couple of times. It is absolutely brilliant, although it does take a while to inflate and deflate so I think it will be more use when I am visiting people's houses rather than actually being out and about. For £9.99 though I am still very pleased.

hi just wanted to add my bit! my dd is still being boobied every 2 hours and shes now 8mths eek where does the time go. She is having food too now though. I was the same with feeding in public i got one of these http://www.scrummy-mummy.com/nursing-cover-breastfeeding-cover-p-212.html and made sure i wasn't too far away from the car so i could always retreat back there for food time. Actually i still do:)
It is frustrating sometimes with 2hourly feeds but i find that i'm just having a moody day and it passes. I didn't even b'feed my first 2 babies i was so worried about other people but i do enjoy the closeness of it and now i've done it i'm not giving it up yet. I'm planning on going until she's 1 and going straight to the sippy cups i did this with ds1 when he switched from bottles to cups at 1.
I also had the dreaded dentist problem, i just cancelled it and luckily my poor swollen gum went down
