Capital One Over Limit - Help!

in Credit cards
It appears on this month's statement that I'm 60p over my limit
This is my 2nd statement since getting the card. I paid off my full balance of £299.37 in month 1 and have just paid off the full balance again of £300.60 for this statement (dated 28/05), which includes the 60p over limit.
I've been using the card for petrol, shopping etc. with the intention to pay off in full each month. Good for credit building etc.
What tipped me over the £300 balance this month was the PPI of £2.36, added on the day the statement was generated, which I simply forgot to take into account :mad::mad: I'll certainly be more careful next month!
However what are the chances that I'll get an over-limit default sum of £12 slapped onto the account? If so, when? Or will Cap1 see that the PPI took me over-limit and waive it - especially given that I've already paid the account in full? Anyone got any thoughts?
Also, will this work against me getting a credit limit raise further down the line?

I used to like this company but after 'tarting' last year and then doing a second bal trans in response to their phone encouragement when I rang to activate account after applying on line I noticed I was being charged interest.
It seems that the 1st transfer was as agreed but the 2nd one did not qualify for the interest free status, as was out of time of the offer. I felt the matter was extremely underhand and since they have no loyalty to me I paid off in full and despite requesting an email confirmation of any outstanding odd pence, they were dismisive and clearly not bothered, they emailed a response to my complaint, great since my account was closed I could no longer access the site and was not paying their premium fees to phone.
I think that it may be one of those, 'try and appeal to their better nature and be nice phone calls' and see how you get on especially if you have never been late before it may work in your favour. Anyway none of this has ever seemed to affect my credit and you seem to be dilegent about paying so you should be ok.
Good luck0 -
it may go against a raise on the 4th statment as you have not remained within the limit0

Probability = 99.9%TastyTeeth wrote: »Or will Cap1 see that the PPI took me over-limit and waive it
Probability = 0.01%
Still, no harm in phoning them and asking."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -

Thought as much. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what happens. Didn't really want to, but probably have to.
Still quite annoyed with myself I have to say       :mad:0 -
Any consolation mate when i had my a £500 limit i went over by £7,because i forgot about the interest which went on,phoned them up came up with a some sort of reason,by this time they had charged me £12,but a week later they reimbursed me £12 that was it....0

Just called Cap1 this morning. Thankfully no over-limit payment will be charged :j
It appears that as I've only gone over-limit by 60p, a charge will not be made. Had I gone over by £1.00 or above, a charge would have applied. I took time to confirm this again at the end of the conversation and took the name of the person I spoke to just in case.
A bit of a result. Fingers crossed until month 4 to see if this has affected my chances of a limit increase.0 -

Always good to buck the odds - now you're on a roll you should go and buy a lottery ticket and stick some money on the World Cup winner."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -

I always check my balances online for my cap1 credit card. GOod way to keep an eye on the balance. When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0

I do, hence working the card up close to the limit. I tend to check it weekly. It was when Cap1 added the PPI on statement creation that the account popped over the limit. Still  about it really.
I'll be allowing for it from here on.0
