amazon full version is £89Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740

The amazon deal looks quite good. I'm on the 90 day trial version at the moment but I'm going to have to "bite the bullet" at sometime before my trial expires. I've been a Ubuntu fan for last 2 years but HD video (1080p & 720p) does not seem to run as smoothly on Ubuntu 10.04 as it does on W7.0

but since there isn;t actually a differenct between the full retail anf upgrade retail versions 2 short commands doesn't get around Tesco wins hands down at £65.
Spend more if you want
I've been wondering about going for the "upgrade" version as I have a copy of XP pro.
XP pro will not install on my new PC, something to do with the BIOS being AHCI, so my only option with W7 is a "clean install".
Can I get the cheaper "upgrade" copy of W7HP and do a "clean install" and avoid doing an "upgrade"?0 -

I can't speak for 1080p, but 720p runs smoothly on my MythTV frontend with a cheap ATI Radeon X300.0 -

For starters,, MS apparently know about this method, and couldn't care less.

A plug for the site, a nominal amount, results in a weekly newsletter, with plenty of news and articles similar to the above, or for free, a weekly newsletter with reduced content.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

there is no difference between the upgrade and full editions typing 2 short commands in during a clean install doesn't get around.

also with a RETAIL copy you're legally allowed to sell it on when you no longer need it (ie have uninstalled/wiped all copies of it)
If you google you should be able to get a home permium RETAIL edition for around £65
Avoid anything that says OEM, WAU or 'Windows Anytime Upgrade' in the description anywhere0
