Mine arrived looking pretty ill, very brown. I have planted it in nice compost etc. so hoping to pull it through. I ordered one for my mum too and that hasn't even arrived yet...
It really destroys the whole idea of this project when essentially the vast majority seem to be dead!

There is a similar thread to this one and I posted on there too. They sent the trees specifically at this time of year as they are dormant. It is Autumn so you won't get green leaves! Mine arrived with brown leaves. I just put it in a pot of compost and it should start to flourish from next Spring. Do not throw your trees away, they are supposed to have brown leaves given the time of year.0

My tree also arrived looking like a dead twig but I planted it out in the garden and and it's now sprouting lovely green leaves!0

Well I put mine in a big pot and kept it in my living room so that it has been nice and warm all the time and I have been giving it just a tiny drop of water now and then to keep the compost moist. But so far nothing has changed with it. I shall increase the water a little and fingers crossed that I will see some tiny leaves coming out.:j:smileyheaMagenta0

I planted my little twig (Rowan) in a pot and kept in sheltered over winter. I have watered it regularly and it still showed no sign of life until this morning! A tiny shoot has just appeared. :j

My little twig (Rowan)is now 3 feet tall and has loads of leaves0

I kept my Rowan in doors over winter in a pot. Put it out on the balcony in March as we had glorious weather. It looked as if it was starting to sprout at the top of the twig but since being outside and watered it hasn't done anything. The stem looks healthy though but I think it's sulking since it got kicked out!0
