It's a standard forum rule. Whenever you see "rip off" in the thread title, you can be absolutely sure there is no rip off. What goes around - comes around0 -
I've just coughed up £410 for a HIP this morning. Because the house was marketed 2 days before the suspension of HIPs, I've still had to pay it. To say I feel ripped off is an understatement. I've wrote to my MP to see what can be done to get my money back, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm sick to the back teeth of being forced to throw money to companies that do sod all to earn it.

There were all sorts of pointers and rumours about HIPs being suspended for about a month before they were. Why didn't you hold back for a few days before putting it on the market?0 -

I bought an umbrella yesterday because the BBC weather forecast a shower.... WHAT A RIP OFF. As I haven't used the umbrella.......
1. Can I sue the BBC?
2. Can I also sue any other weather forcasting outlet that predicted a shower?
3. Can I sue the umbrella retailer for not advising me that it might not rain?
4. Can I demand my money back and any reasonable expenses?
5. Do I still have to pay my rent/mortgage for today as I was planning on staying in all day, but now I've been ouit and I haven't used the house?
6. Can I sue anybody for the wear and tear of putting a coat in the car "just in case".
7. Do you think Watchdog might cover this story?
Welcome to RIP OFF BRITAIN!!!!!!!!!
