    You'll get a decent 106 for that. Go for a basic model, but with power steering. Not bad to insure, either the 1.1 petrol, or 1.5 diesel.
    They stopped making them in 2003, so a 2001 or earlier phase 2 would be good.
    Don't know if the VED bands for the post 2001 are dearer or not though.

    the diesel is slightly cheaper for a newer one, band E, so £110 as opposed to £125, the 1.1 is band F, so the same at the moment.
