After six years and seven months I have cleared £48,000 worth of debt. My original extimated completion date was December 2013 so I'm way ahead of schedule. It'll be the middle of next month before it's cleared with Payplan and then my creditors but I've no more payments to make after today. :j

Prior to my LBM in 2003, I'd been in debt since 1993 so it's 17 years since I've had a zero balance on any credit account. The only debt I have now is my mortgate and I consider that an investment. What's more, my final payment was less than half of my regular monthly installment so I'm quids in this month and looking forward to a great bank holiday weekend.

For those of you still stuck in the debt hellhole - take it from me, it does end and the feeling of relief is IMMENSE

Thanks for posting, It's great to see somebody feeling so good. Enjoy the bank holiday. So what are the plans for the money you normally spend on getting debt free? Are you going to start saving some?
